Sodium Bicarbonate, also known as Sodium Hydrogen Carbonate, Carbonic Acid Monosodium Salt, Bicarbonate of Soda, and Baking Soda, has the chemical formula NaHCO3 or CHNaO3. Its solution appears colorless clear liquid having free solubility in Water and Methanol at ambient conditions. In solution form, Sodium Bicarbonate dissociates into Sodium and Bicarbonate ions. In the human body, its presence can raise blood pH through buffering of excess hydrogen ions. Lab Alley’s Sodium Bicarbonate, 8.4% Solution, Lab Grade is composed of ~8.4 wt.% of pure Sodium Bicarbonate powder in its aqueous solution. Lab grade chemicals possess reasonable purity but do not comply with any official standard for quality or purity like the ACS Grade, the USP Grade, or the FCC Grade. The Lab Grade is also known as Laboratory Reagent (LR) and Chemically Pure (CP). Lab Alley’s Sodium Bicarbonate, 8.4% Solution, Lab Grade is recommended for educational institutes, research labs, and commercial applications. Lab Alley is selling its premium quality products online at laballey.com in the United States of America (USA).
